Privacy Policy

Updated April 17, 2026

Wordbridge is a daily word puzzle. This page explains what we store, why, and how to remove it. Plain English, no boilerplate.

What we store

  • Anonymous device ID. A random ID set in a cookie (and mirrored to localStorage) so your puzzle progress carries between visits. Not tied to your real identity.
  • Game state. Words you play, when you play them, the puzzles you finish, your streak, and your shortest path.
  • Account info, if you sign in. Email address (from magic link or Google), an optional display name, and the link between your account and your game history.
  • Usage analytics. Which pages you visit, when you start/win/surrender a game, and rough device + browser. We do not track you across other sites.
  • Error logs. If the app crashes, we collect the stack trace via Sentry to fix it.

Who we share it with

  • Railway — runs the app and database.
  • Resend — sends magic-link emails.
  • Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
  • PostHog — usage analytics.
  • Sentry — error reporting.

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party ad trackers.

How long we keep it

Game data persists until you delete your account. Anonymous device plays are kept indefinitely so leaderboards remain accurate; if you sign in, your anonymous plays are claimed and follow your account. Analytics events roll off after 12 months.

Your controls

  • Delete your account. Visit /me/delete after signing in. We delete your user record, all linked games, and your streak. Anonymized aggregates (counts, leaderboard placements) may remain.
  • Clear your device ID. Clear cookies + localStorage for this site. You start fresh next visit.
  • Email us. Questions or requests: jordan@storme.dev.

Children

Wordbridge is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy meaningfully we’ll update the date at the top and, for signed-in users, send a one-time email.
